Hypertrophy is an ideal state for an athlete and for muscle recovery. The ability of massage to influence trophy in muscle has been known for years. Today I am making hypothesises about the proper techniques to maximize hypertrophy in muscles surrounding long bones.
My current best is by using an indirect approach and stimulating the deepest tissue with gentle, repetitive sequential, traveling “tapotament.”The result currently rivals getting a pump in the gym. The technique follows clear guidelines for safety and respect for the homeostasis of the cns.
I call this technique, “Golden Ratio Tapotament,” golden ratio due to the respect for the equasion based on 3’s. Really its coincidental because the intention was merely respect for level of stimulation, not too much or too little, just within homeostasis.
